Improved Design
At WhisperKOOL, we have redesigned the housing for the Platinum series split system evaporators. While the internal components have proven to be reliable and effective, we have designed new housing systems for improved installation and accessibility. The previous design was a little challenging in terms of mounting and accessing the components for installation. It required the removal of the top or side panel. When racking was installed around the unit, it was difficult to gain access for service or maintenance.
Our new design makes the units easier to install by gaining access to system from the front of the unit where we have installed removable grills. This greatly improves the ability to install the system and access it for maintenance. Please note that the dimensions have changed slightly. Review the specification section when planning your install to account for the dimensional change. At WhisperKOOL, we believe in the goal of continuous improvement in everything we do in order to enhance the customer's experience.
The WhisperKOOL Platinum 4000 Split System will cool a wine cellar up to 1000 cubic feet. For cellars up to 2000 cubic feet, there is a larger WhisperKOOL Platinum 8000. WhisperKOOL Platinum Split Systems are also available fully ducted.

Features
The Fully Ducted Platinum Split is WhisperKOOL's newest split system. Ducting a Split creates a virtually silent cellar environment and allows for maximum installation options. The system uses our liquid bottle probe for monitoring the actual temperature of the wine to ensure the wine is being kept at 55℉. The evaporator portion may be installed up to 25 duct feet from the cellar.
The WhisperKOOL Platinum 4000 Split System will cool a wine cellar up to 1000 cubic feet. For cellars up to 2000cubic feet, there is a larger WhisperKOOL Platinum 8000. WhisperKOOL Platinum Split Systems are also available fully ducted. Key Features:

Upgrades
Active Humidity Option:
Our new Active Humidity feature carefully measures the volume of moisture needed to raise the relative humidity within the cellar to the desired level. This design utilizes Intermittent Mist Injection Technology which eliminates the use of pads or filters that can mold over time. Easy to install and effortless in use, simply connect a soft water source to the unit, install the humidistat and you are ready to go. This optional integrated system must be specified at the time of ordering of the unit. For cellars with cooling units already installed, customers can select our stand alone system which offers the same technology in a small, but effective, package.

The WhisperKOOL split system is designed with a 55-degree temperature differential. This means the unit can operate correctly even if the ambient temperature outside (or where ever the condenser unit is mounted even) in 110 degree heat. This is a significant improvement over most cooling units designed for wine storage.
The system includes both the evaporator and condenser units.
The WhisperKOOL split cooling system requires professional installation by a licensed refrigeration technician. The contents of this system does not include a line set.
Additional Info
The Split System is often the most efficient way to cool a cellar. Cooling unit condensers are typically noisy and require significant space for ventilation, in most cases the cellar location does not include an area for these functions. By splitting the cooling system, the condenser can be placed in a space better suited for heat and noise dissipation while the quiet evaporator is inside, or near, the cellar. A licensed HVAC/R technician is required for the installation.

Warranty
Please have technician complete and send the Split System Start Up Checklist to activate warranty coverage.
A limited 2-year parts and labor / 5-year compressor warranty is offered with all of our cooling units/systems at their date of purchase. All warranty claims must be filed directly through WhisperKool customer service (800) 343-9463 (ext. 799). We provide warranty repairs at our manufacturing facility in Stockton, CA or, with prior permission from WhisperKool, by a licensed HVAC/R technician. In the event a unit is not reparable in the field, and is still under warranty, we will cover shipping costs (excluding customs fees and duties).
The limited warranty applies only to wine cooling units purchased from the factory or an authorized dealer. Damage caused by others or beyond the control of WhisperKool, shall not be considered defects in material or workmanship and is not covered by the warranty. The limited warranty does not cover any parts or labor to correct any defect caused by negligence, commercial use, accident, maintenance, installation, service/repair, or improper use.
