Installation Requirement
Installation Requirements for Grandeur Wine Cabinets
Grandeur Cellars requires specific installation requirements for your wine cabinet for it to function correctly.
Clearance Above Your New Wine Cabinet
All Wine cabinets will come with a steel L bracket that will attach to the wall and your wine cabinet to prevent the units from falling over when you open the door. The wine cabinet must be anchored to the wall. Since the cabinets are top-vented, you need a ceiling height 18 inches higher than the cabinets. That will allow enough space above the cabinet for proper airflow, which helps the cooling unit to work properly.
A Dedicated Outlet
A dedicated outlet is necessary. Once you have the right space with the required ceiling height and your outlet is ready, you can choose which cabinet you like. It is up to you to hire your own electrician. Keep in mind that the cost depends on several factors, including the location of the electrical box in your home, the difficulty of running wiring there, and whether they can convert an existing outlet into a dedicated one. It is essential to discuss these matters with your electrical contractor.
We Can Help Install Your Electrical Outlet
In many parts of the country, we have electricians who can help you with your electrical needs. Just ask us! Otherwise, we can provide your electrical contractor with the information they need to install your electrical system.
